Our thematic areas

At EDISE Mobility (vzw) we take an intersectional and sector cross-cutting approach to mobility.

Our work falls under four thematic areas:

  • Infrastructure
  • Health
  • Sustainability and Climate
  • Technology

Infrastructure

Our focus in this area is about improving safer and sustainable roads by supporting the implementation of global regulations and standards, ensuring a secure and efficient mobility environment, strengthening knowledge and awareness on infrastructure safety. Enhancing advancements in car data sharing to optimize transportation systems and decision-making processes remain a key priority.

Health

EDISE Mobility vzw focuses on advancing the development and implementation of safe and sustainable  mobility systems with a strong emphasis on the relationship and impact on road user’s health. We work on crash mitigation strategies and crash data analysis  to develop impactful interventions for all road users with emphasis on vulnerable users like pedestrians, cyclist, person’s living with disability across policy advocacymedical care, and emergency response systems.

Sustainably and Climate

Transportation accounts for over 25% of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions globally. With around 95% of the world’s transport systems reliant on fossil fuels, much efforts is needed to redress the negative impact of transportation on our changing climates. At EDISE, we aim towards and contribute to the global vision and efforts of net-zero CO2 emissions, pollution reduction, and environmentally friendly and inclusive mobility. We harness innovative technology, ecosystem services, and as well cultural & social education to develop and inform adaptable and sustainable mobility practices and solutions.

Technology

We leverage data to create evidence based road safety solutions. Through the integration of data engines for response, optimizing decision-making and enhancement through commitment to technological innovations paving the way for safer, cleaner, and more safe mobility environments.
